I am Dr. Sugin Elankavi Rajendran (Dr. SER), a Senior Research Engineer in the R&D Department at Haystack Robotics, specializing in robotics, automation, and industrial robotics systems. With a strong foundation in both academia and industry, my work focuses on developing advanced robotic solutions that address complex real-world industrial challenges.

Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Centre for Industrial Automation at the Chennai Institute of Technology, where I was actively involved in robotics research, automation system design, academic leadership, and curriculum development. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Teaching cum Research Associate at Hindustan University, where my research contributions earned me the Founder Dr. K. C. G. Verghese Award for Best Research Scholar (2023).

I hold a Ph.D. in Robotics and Automation from Hindustan University. My research interests include industrial automation, intelligent robotic systems, control systems, autonomous robotics, and applied AI in robotics, with a strong emphasis on translating research into scalable industrial applications.
